BIOGRAPHY

Sol Friedman, consultant, an Adelphi University graduate, has over a decade of hands on experience in healthcare marketing, staffing and management. He is recognized by his peers as a highly motivated and accomplished marketing professional with experience in marketing strategies, ethnic marketing, market positioning and branding, physician network development, collateral materials development and project management.

Sol has consulted on engagements involving the management of large multi-site facilities and single specialty medical groups as well as newly established ancillary services. Sol works closely with healthcare providers in evaluating new business development, conducting market feasibility studies and operational assessments.

His cross industry exposure include working with HMO and PPO networks, Certified Home Healthcare (CHHA) organizations, Radiology facilities, Medical Specialty practices, Long Term Care and ancillary service providers, Telemedicine and Disease Management services, Women’s Health Initiatives, Corporate Wellness and Community Healthcare Programs.

Mr. Friedman has held positions with Healthfirst, a managed care organization, as a Network Development specialist, where he successfully developed member and physician markets. In that role he represented the HMO in Brooklyn and Queens and acted as liaison to several key hospitals.

He also served as the Director of Marketing for Heartlink, a telemedicine/demand management services company; specializing in cardiac and pulmonary monitoring, PERS units, nurse triage, and enhanced physician answering services. During his tenure, he launched the company and developed a focused marketing approach. This resulted in the development of several secondary markets for the company in the areas of chronic disease management, emergency triage for pediatric and primary care doctors, and health risk appraisals for Corporate Wellness Programs.

In addition, Sol served as the Vice President of Business Development at a large imaging center, where he worked closely with physician leadership and management to define the focus of the practice, develop new modalities and implement effective marketing strategies for enhancing patient flow and improving profitability.

This combination of industry and managed care experience are used effectively in his ongoing consulting to healthcare ventures.
