Background Checks for Small and Mid-Sized Companies
Although there are many benefits to conducting background screenings before hiring employees, a large number of smaller workplaces neglect to do them. "Many online providers offer 'instant' background screening information that comes solely from a nationwide database which can be unreliable as it is only as current as the information provided by the originating source," said Accurate Background’s executive vice president Catherine Aldrich in the release. “Using a criminal database alone to screen out potential job applicants is not, in itself, complaint with federal regulations under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The criminal history reported by these database should always be confirmed at the courthouse level for accuracy.”
Instead of having to participate in face-to-face training, with AccurateNow users can be taught how to utilize the system online. Users who decide to use the National Criminal search option will be happy to know that the criminal history reported will be verified by AccurateNow through use of the county level services.
"Many organizations are under the misconception that thorough background checks commonly used by much larger organizations are costly and time-consuming," Aldrich went on to say. "This product allows small to medium-size businesses to conduct the same level of due diligence in background screening quickly and at a highly competitive price while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations."
